About Me
I’m K.M. Langevin … and before you move on, let me clarify a few things about my name:
My full name is Karen Mary (Langevin) Lynch.
I’m leaning into the use of my initials right now. Why? Would you want to publish under the name Karen presently? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Initials it is.
That said, under the names Karen Lynch and Karen M. Lynch, I have published articles in mainstream consumer magazines (including The Writer, Parents, Parenting, and SELF) and for several websites and blogs. My personal essays have appeared in three Chicken Soup anthologies and in Wine Enthusiast and Women’s Day Magazines.
Why use my maiden name (Langevin) and not my current legal last name (Lynch)? Because at some point in my writing career, when I wasn’t looking or was having children or was fighting cancer, another Karen Lynch started publishing YA fiction. I don’t want to confuse agents, editors, publishers, or other writers. I am not her and she is not me.
I am currently seeking representation for my first novel, a YA fantasy.
Until the day I can “quit my day job” (because the book deal I secure is so fantastic I can devote all of my time to THAT), I remain gratefully and gainfully employed as the Head of Content for a B2B media company.
If you are interested in that aspect of my work, you can check me out on LinkedIn, the podcast I often host, or the livestream I co-host.
You might also find me writing for other businesses, creating content for clients (like HealthDigest and PureHealthLiving), blogging here and on Medium, entering contests, answering calls for submissions … the usual writerly stuff.
Let me know what I can write for you. You can reach me via my contact page. 😉

This AI-generated portrait isn’t exactly me but it resonates with me in a way that’s hard to define. Technology turned the lines on my face into brushstrokes and made the messiness of my hair look intentional. It transformed my imperfections into artistry … and I appreciate that!
I suppose that’s what draws me to this image: the idea of transformation. Long ago I learned seeking perfection as a writer is futile. But the stories we tell are transformative. Our reflections rarely capture the full depth of who we truly are but our words have the power to shape, connect, and inspire in ways our mirrors never can. They help us find meaning in life’s imperfections and beauty in our vulnerabilities.
If something in my words resonates with you, too, I’d love to connect. Please use the form below to reach out.
