About Me
I’m K.M. Langevin. So first, about my name:
I’m going with initials right now. Would you want to publish under the name Karen presently? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Initials it is.
Under the names Karen Lynch and Karen M. Lynch, I have published articles in mainstream consumer magazines (including Parents, Parenting, SELF, and Woman’s Day) and for several websites and blogs. My personal essays have appeared in three Chicken Soup anthologies and in Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Why is this site Langevin and not Lynch? Because at some point in my writing career, when I wasn’t looking or was having children or was fighting cancer, another Karen Lynch started publishing YA fiction. I don’t want to confuse agents, editors, publishers, or other writers. I am not her and she is not me.
I am seeking representation for my first novel, a YA fantasy.
Until the day I can “quit my day job” (because the book deal I secure is so fantastic I can devote all of my time to THAT), I remain gratefully and gainfully employed as the Head of Content for a B2B media company.
